The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) (CDPP) is seeking a multitasking, responsible and experienced Facilities and Administration Officer within the Property and Security Team to support the efficient operations of our workplace. This role is central to maintaining a safe, functional, and professional environment for staff and visitors. The position involves coordinating a mix of administrative and facilities-related responsibilities, working closely with team members, internal and external stakeholders respectively. You will play a key part in ensuring our workplace runs smoothly and that staff have the support and resources they need to focus on delivering outcomes. This is an office-based role and may be required to act as the out-of-hours contact person for the site. This role may occasionally require afterhours work to provide building access and oversee works conducted by service providers. The key duties of the position include In addition to meeting the APS 4 work level standards you will be expected to work independently, reporting to your manager who may be located in another office. Some of the accountabilities for the role include: Oversee local building enquiries and issues, ensuring a prompt and professional resolution; Report and follow up on faults, working closely with the CDPP's external Whole of Australian Government (WOAG) property service provider to maintain high-quality facilities; Coordinate site access and escort contractors; Conduct regular office cleaning inspections to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace; Manage local fleet of vehicles, including bookings, servicing, and compliance requirements; Provide contract and procurement support, assisting with collation of documentation, compliance, and service/supplier engagements; Coordinate ordering of office consumables to maintain consistent supply and value for money; Maintain accurate stocktake and asset records, including coordination of disposal processes; Support larger property and facilities projects, contributing knowledge, coordination, and administrative assistance; Deliver a range of administrative support tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day facilities operations; Organise daily mail and courier services, ensuring timely delivery and dispatch; and Undertake other duties as required to support the broader facilities and Branch function.
