Would you like to support Australian patients' access to effective and safe prescription medicines? This EL1 leads the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Advisory Committee on Medicines (ACM) process. ACM provides expertise on prescription medicines safety, quality and efficacy, including to inform prescription medicines' evaluation. This advice is important and one of the final steps before a decision to register, or not register, a medicine. You'll work with ACM's Chair and members so that meetings provide informed, fit-for-purpose and clear advice. You'll also work with medical officers responsible for making decision about the registration of prescription medicines. We're seeking someone with excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills. You will be curious and committed to ongoing growth. The key duties of the position include This role works collaboratively with the Assistant Director leading TGA's Advisory Committee on Vaccines process. The role's key responsibilities are: Lead and manage organisation of ACM meetings including liaison with internal staff, agenda preparation, compiling meeting papers, sourcing expert advisors. During ACM meetings, work with the Chair to support the running of the meeting, the declaration of interest process and adjusting sequencing of agenda items. Draft, review, edit and distribute meeting minutes. Manage the process of seeking expert advice outside of ACM meetings. Lead and manage two APS 6 ACM Support Officers. Identify and implement improvements to ACM and expert advisor processes. Provide support to ACV processes. Contribute to the leadership and culture of the Branch and Section.
