Facilitate the development and implementation of the strategic plan and enterprise strategies, strategic service plans and continuous improvement Lead a culture of best practice, learning and professional growth Located in the region of Baw Baw Shire, a rapidly growing community, an hour from the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne The Position West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is the largest employer within the region of Baw Baw Shire, servicing a rapidly growing community in a primarily rural based environment that includes rich horticultural, dairying and forestry areas. WGHG seeks to appoint an Executive Director Strategy, Performance and Allied Health, to lead and oversee the Allied Health portfolio and facilitate the development and implementation of the strategic plan and enterprise strategies, strategic service plans, continuous improvement methodology and corporate governance frameworks. As a key member of the executive team, the ED Strategy, Performance and Allied Health will provide a strategic and collaborative approach to ongoing transformation and sustainable growth, aligned to purpose and values of the health service. The incumbent will develop and foster key stakeholder relationships with external partners (including within the Gippsland Local Health Service Network, government, community and primary care providers) and work closely with the broader executive team, Board, staff and volunteers, supporting strategic health service and business planning activities, and reform priorities. The ED Strategy, Performance and Allied Health will also take carriage of the implementation of strategies to ensure a contemporary, future ready allied health workforce, enabling timely and equitable access to culturally safe and high-quality care. The incumbent will be a proven executive leader with experience working with executive peers to create a vision for the future and with the ability to engage and inspire the workforce. Adept at the implementation of strategic plans and solutions to drive improvement of organisational performance and culture, the incumbent will have demonstrated experience translating strategic outcomes into operational reality. As an empowering and engaging senior leader, the incoming Executive Director will have the ability to develop high performing teams and manage complex change processes. The ability to build highly effective relationships, internally and externally with key stakeholders, within a complex environment will be key to success. Relevant tertiary qualifications at Masters level and experience in public sector management, corporate governance and with a specific knowledge of the Victorian public health systems will be highly desirable. The Organisation The West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is a sub-regional provider of health services located in the Shire of Baw Baw, approximately 100km east of Melbourne. The WGHG employs more than 1500 staff across its sites including Community Centres in Warragul and Trafalgar, the Rawson Community Health Centre, Cooinda Lodge Aged Care Residence, Andrews House Aged Care Residence, Warragul Linen Service and the West Gippsland Hospital. The WGHG has over 200 beds delivering acute and aged care and provides a broad range of services including acute medical and surgical, paediatric, obstetrics & gynaecology, emergency, aged care and community services. The primary catchment area is the Shire of Baw Baw, although patients also present from other Local Government Areas in Gippsland and outer Melbourne.
