Electrician - Shift

About the Role Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Electrician to assist the Middle Swan maintenance team. This position will be working on our new shift rotation and responsible for ensuring that plant downtime is minimised through preventative maintenance. You will provide high levels of technical support servicing our customer's equipment to ensure customer issues, incidents and breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently. This position is working 7 shifts in a fortnight, a mix of days and nights with a 26% shift allowance paid on all hours worked. Your shifts will include travelling to multiple sites to carry out maintenance & breakdown work, with a variety of interesting projects to improve machinery. Your role will include: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults. Conduct equipment audits and perform preventative maintenance tasks. Identify and replace faulty electrical components such as contactors, relays, and field devices. Program drives (SEW) and electronic control modules. Troubleshoot PLCs. Aim to reduce downtime and enhance system reliability. Investigate and analyze faults to identify opportunities for operational and equipment improvements. Complete electrical work orders. Assist other trades within the department as required. Carry out new installations and plant modifications. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe work practices. C reate & modify electrical drawings Skills and Experience: Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving equipment faults in a maintenance environment. Unrestricted Electrical License (Australian). Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology or higher. Own transportation and a current Australian driver's license. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Understanding of industrial controls, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
