About the role Headland Technology Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team in East Brisbane, Queensland. This full-time role will involve providing technical support and maintenance for our range of sheet metal machines. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production equipment. What you'll be doing Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues with sheet metal machines Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical components and control systems Liaise with operators and technicians to understand and resolve equipment problems Implement upgrades and modifications to improve machine performance and reliability Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and outcomes Provide training and guidance to production staff on the proper operation of equipment Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements What we're looking for Factory trained in TRUMPF technology (Laser Fiber) Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with electrical and electronic systems Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams Initiative, attention to detail and a commitment to workplace health and safety What we offer At Headland Technology, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
