The Opportunity We now have an amazing opportunity to be PARTT of something meaningful. As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes or delivering high quality in-home care and community participation services. The successful candidates will possess the experience to work with individuals with complex care needs. Key Duties Include: Medication administration Home Based Daily Living Support Taking participants for appointments and other community participation Behaviour observation and support Meal preparation and shopping assistance Maintaining a record of participant progress Assessing participants to determine continuing needs Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence Manual Handling of participants Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends Many of our participants require 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available. Skills And Experiences Who We're Looking For We are seeking capable, dedicated support workers - prior experience, qualifications and/or a background supporting challenging clients will be highly regarded. The successful candidates will have: Own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance Ability to work varied shifts Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded Current First Aid & CPR Certificate - essential Current National Police Clearance - essential Current QLD Unrestricted Driver’s License - essential If you are values-driven and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others, we would love to hear from you!
