The key duties of the position include The Role As Director Portfolio Business Systems, Reporting and Analytics, you will have responsibility for the operation, enhancement and maintenance of a project management information system. Equally, you will also have responsibility for the analysis, visualisation and reporting of project and program data to measure performance against strategic and operational objectives. You will have recognised technical expertise in secure ICT systems/networks, project and program management to support data-based decisions related to investment in Defence innovation, science and technology (IS&T). Your well-developed communication and analytical skills will enable you to synthesise technical data and distil key messages to provide authoritative advice to senior executives, various governance fora and a broad network of senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities for the role include but not limited to: Curate and manage performance data related to programs and projects in the Defence IS&T portfolio; Analyse, visualise and report performance data across the portfolio, program and project architecture and related governance fora to measure performance against strategic and operational objectives; and Develop and implement best practice ICT tools, systems and roll out improvements/enhancements for program management. About our Team You will lead and be part of a mixed team of professionals, comprising business analysts and specialist software experts, whose primary functions are focused on planning, assuring investment in IS&T and building a capability for data-based decision-making. Main functions of the team include: Sustaining and enhancing an information management system for the IS&T portfolio; Performing periodic assurance activities through data analysis and reporting to relevant governance fora; and Building a capability for data analytics and integrated visualisation of investment in the IS&T portfolio.
