This is a rare and prestigious opportunity to join the Office of the Governor as Director, Corporate Services, providing strategic and operational leadership that enables the Governor to fulfil constitutional, ceremonial, and civic duties across Queensland and internationally. Based at the Government House Estate in Paddington, this position is pivotal to the ongoing success and modernisation of the Office. Reporting to the Deputy Official Secretary, the Director leads a team across governance, people and culture, finance, systems, and administration, ensuring the Office operates with excellence, compliance, and integrity. About the Role: The Director, Corporate Services provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Office's corporate and administrative functions, supporting the delivery of highquality services that underpin organisational effectiveness. The role guides the implementation and improvement of governance frameworks, corporate planning and policy and compliance practices. It ensures business operations align with the Office's strategic direction, while upholding accountability, ethical standards and resource efficiency. Working closely with the Deputy Official Secretary and senior stakeholders, the Director shapes a values-based workplace culture, leads key initiatives and strengthens systems for finance, HR and records management. The position also contributes to committee support and reporting, driving performance across the Office. About You: You will be a capable and strategic leader with strong experience in corporate governance, organisational performance, and public sector operations. Your background will show a consistent ability to deliver results in complex settings while demonstrating integrity, transparency, and accountability. You will have led change, built high-performing teams and supported positive workplace cultures aligned to strategic goals. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will confidently advise on governance, policy, planning, and people matters, engage with stakeholders and manage systems and budgets with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach. A relevant qualification in business or a related field — or equivalent experience in a senior leadership role — is essential. Why Join Us? The Office of the Governor is an independent, values-led organisation committed to excellence, integrity, and service. Located within the distinguished surrounds of Government House, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully at the heart of Queensland's constitutional democracy. You will join a small, collaborative team committed to ethical leadership, continuous improvement and public trust. The environment is guided by values of respect, integrity, leadership and teamwork. Staff benefit from on-site parking, subsidised meals and a workplace culture that supports flexibility and work-life balance.
