About the Company This is a rare opportunity to join the Sydney office of a top-tier global bank with a rapidly expanding footprint in Australia. With strong institutional capabilities across custody, trade settlement, and asset servicing, the bank has recently invested in establishing a dedicated local custody team to support its growing client base. About the Role As a Custody Operations Officer , you'll join a newly formed team of three responsible for supporting the safekeeping, settlement, and servicing of client assets. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience in custody operations or securities settlements , looking to take ownership and grow with the business. You'll be working closely with both local and offshore stakeholders to ensure a high standard of client asset safety, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Execute and monitor custody-related transactions and settlement activities Manage corporate actions, asset servicing, and cash reconciliations Liaise with internal stakeholders and counterparties to resolve breaks or discrepancies Assist in the development and improvement of operational procedures Support implementation of control frameworks to maintain asset safety About You 2-5 years of experience in custody operations, securities settlements, or fund services Background in local banking, financial institutions, or securities services preferred Strong attention to detail and understanding of post-trade processes Mandarin language skills advantageous but not essential Passion for joining a growing team and shaping operational processes This is an on-site position.
