The key duties of the position include The Role This is an exciting and dynamic position that will see the successful person become a member of the team that manages and governs a critical enabling capability on behalf of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The position plays a key role within the team that manages the Health Services Contract that includes various contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare), contract governance, contract performance and supply, demand and budget within a broad, multi-disciplined and complex setting. Previous experience is strongly preferred in developing contract related documentation including templates, reports, risk and performance reviews, contact change proposals and other contract documentation. Highly relevant experience and transferable skills in other fields may be considered. The role includes competing priorities within a fast-paced environment and the successful applicant will need to be flexible regarding daily tasks to support strategic priorities and be accustomed to change management. Applicants will be highly developed professionals with proven skills in communicating with influence, customer service, multi skilling, record keeping and managing tasks to completion. You will be able to demonstrate initiative and innovation to enhance team processes and outputs. This position is for a period of 12 months with possibility of extension. A merit pool may be established following the conclusion of this recruitment and used to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies across the Department. About our Team The ADF Health Service Contract Directorate is a high performing team, responsible for the oversight and management of the ADF Health Services Contract ensuring that the contract is fit for purpose now and throughout its life cycle. The team supports the Director to monitor and manage the contract management framework including governance and performance, compliance and risk, the contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) and commercial governance. The contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) include, Integrated Contracted Health Professional Workforce, 24 hour Medical Advice, Triage and Referral Service, Specialised Services, Imaging and Radiology, Pathology, and Occupational Rehabilitation Services. As a Contract Management Officer, you will be adept at managing contractor relationships and stakeholder requirements, with the ability to quickly establish highly effective linkages to Garrison Health Services, with respect to the effective delivery of Health Services. Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have contract management experience, excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Candidates will require a strong ability to identify and resolve issues, think laterally, identify, implement and promote improved work practices to support strategic outcomes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to monitor and manage contract administration, performance, risks and reporting against the contract and contribute to appropriate action. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining constructive cross-team communication as well as having the ability to manage a high workload with minimal supervision.
