Job details Start July or August 2025 Permanent full time position $60.00 per hour plus 12% superannuation Fully furnished subsidised accommodation provided Return travel provided You will have full agency support throughout the contract The Location The town has several amenities and facilities for residents and visitors, including schools, medical services, sporting facilities, parks, and recreational areas. It also has historical sites and cultural attractions that showcase its rich heritage with strong ties to Aboriginal traditions and history. Your Main Duties This position is within a community dedicated to Aboriginal Health Care. As a team member, your focus will be on providing high-level community midwifery care within this rural community that will include travel to outlying communities within a 1.5 hour radius. To be eligible for the position, you must have the following: Current registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions Be either a direct entry Midwife or dual registered midwife Minimum 2 years experience in midwifery, antenatal and postnatal care Demonstrated ability to communicate and empathise with First Nations people living in remote communities Experience in providing midwifery care that is culturally appropriate, trauma-informed and attachment-based Experience working within a remote or Aboriginal community highly desirable Demonstrated high level of professional integrity with regard to client privacy and confidentiality, ethics and creating a culturally safe environment.
