We combine cutting-edge technology with a collaborative, quality-driven culture. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne. Key Responsibilities: · Operate and program Zund/Bullmer/Matic CNC machines to guide machine tools to produce to specifications · Interpret CAD drawings and specifications to determine appropriate machine setup. · Set up and adjust CNC equipment to perform cutting jobs to specifications. · Select and install suitable cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures for each job. · Align and secure workpieces and tools accurately to ensure precision. · Perform polishing and finishing tasks to ensure the products meet the specified finish quality · Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments for optimal operation. · Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to maintain high quality standards. · Packing jobs like SAV’s directly after cutting into tubes. · Liaise with despatch regarding packing bigger objects before cutting. · Perform routine maintenance and identify mechanical issues early. · Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams to improve production efficiency. Skills and Competencies: · Minimum 3 years experience operating CNC machines. · Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties. · Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers. · Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and CAD files. · Experience with both CNC programming and manual machine operation. · High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety and quality. · Effective problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
