Pelvic Health is one of the fastest growing sectors in the medical device industry and one of the top performing Operating Units at Medtronic. Pelvic Health is part of the Neuroscience Portfolio. Our therapies treat patients suffering from incontinence-related conditions with our sacral neuromodulation (SNM) system InterstimX. This position is responsible for assisting surgeons with technical support in the operating theatre when implanting a Sacral Neuromodulator and providing ongoing care for patients who have received therapy pre- and post-procedure. The Clinical Specialist will work closely with the Territory Managers, in the Victoria region, to organize case support, provide customer service and support, and practice professional and effective administration, inventory management and expense planning and control. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Work with the Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support Support the Territory Managers through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products & services to key specialists and technical staff Collaborate with the Territory Managers and broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning and execute agreed actions Proactively meet with the Territory Managers and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state. In consultation with the Territory Managers, play a lead role with technical in-services, presentations and training to specified customers. Effectively communicate with the Territory Managers and other relevant stakeholders to provide optimal support to implanting surgeons and patients. Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed. Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained. Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock Retrieve all expiring products from field locations and return them to the warehouse before expiry All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety-related site rules, policies or governmental regulations All other duties as assigned Travel requirement: approximately 25% Required Knowledge and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing qualifications, a general science degree, or similar preferred At least 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experience Strong clinical and business relationships with customers Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencers Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
