As our Clinical Governance Partner , you will be at the heart of ensuring every patient receives safe, effective, and personalised care. You will champion a positive consumer experience and patient safety, playing a pivotal role in high-quality clinical services. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimising our clinical governance systems, including enhancing clinical risk management processes. This is a permanent position working 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE) although open to full time for the right person, based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne on a hybrid working arrangement. Key responsibilities of the role: Actively contribute to the evolution and implementation of St Vincent's Clinical Governance Policy and improvement initiatives Become a key collaborator, partnering with clinical and corporate teams to proactively identify, assess St Vincent's wide clinical risks, ensuring adherence to our robust Risk Management Policy and Procedure and improving safety and patient experience Pioneer the establishment of a seamless, 'business as usual' process for the continuous review and enhancement of St Vincent's critical clinical risk documentation Support National Standards accreditation readiness by developing and implementing a mock accreditation assessment process Craft papers and reports to directly inform and influence committees, the Executive Team, and Board committees Ensure governance documentation is fit for purpose and aligned with best practice and regulatory standards Be the expert, maintaining a deep and current understanding of relevant legislation, jurisdictional requirements, and standards, while staying ahead of the curve on industry developments Things that work for us: Tertiary qualification in a health-related field (e.g., nursing, allied health) complemented by valuable clinical experience Demonstrated experience in hospital clinical governance, with a strong understanding of safety and clinical risk management Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to craft clear, impactful documents and presentations for diverse audiences, from clinicians to executives and Board committees Proven experience working across large and complex public and/or private healthcare organisations Excellent interpersonal skills that enable seamless collaboration across various teams and professional levels and ability to work autonomously or as part of a dynamic team Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and well-versed in clinical quality assurance systems Ability to manage competing priorities while consistently delivering within deadlines, ensuring precision with a keen eye for detail Things that work for you: Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service Competitive salary packaging options Discounted private health insurance Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families Access to the Fitness Passport (FP) At St Vincent’s we value inclusivity and diversity and acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe, fair and impartial and invites people from all backgrounds to join us.
