We are seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in our Residential care facility in Somerset, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. The Opportunity We currently have casual positions available for cleaners. The role is responsible for conducting a broad range of cleaning activities under the general direction of the Facility Manager. Key Responsibilities To ensure a safe work environment by adopting safe work practices. Maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and families. To work within the mission statement and philosophy of Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. to achieve the highest possible standard of care for residents. Always maintain and respect employee, consumer and organisational confidentiality. Actively participate in meetings and discussions in a constructive manner. Communicate with consumers and colleagues in a kind and caring manner, taking into account individual cultural and religious preferences. Work as part of a busy team and be supportive of other team members. Prioritise workload and use care resources effectively and efficiently. Adhere to legislation pertaining to privacy and confidentiality and handling of personal information. Essential Time management and organisational skills to perform at the required standard. Good physical health. Ability to work in a diverse team. Previous experience in general cleaning. Satisfactory national police check within the last three months or the ability to obtain one. Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement or the ability to obtain. Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia.
