About the Role Permanent Full-Time | 35 hours per week | Based in Gosford with Central Coast Outreach Join Uniting Counselling and Mediation (UCM) — a respected, values-driven service with a long history of delivering high-quality, client-centred therapy and strong connections with Family Law stakeholders. As a Child & Family Therapist, you will: Work predominantly with adults (18), including individuals and couples, across issues such as post-separation adjustment, grief and loss, relationship breakdown, trauma, and non-acute mental health concerns. Provide short-term therapy (up to 12 sessions, unless otherwise assessed) with a target of 4 clients per day, alongside case management. Engage in family therapy in collaboration with colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team. Deliver services across counselling programs, including innovative telehealth and digital options. You’ll enjoy structured supervision and training, including: Monthly clinical supervision with a senior clinician. Monthly admin and management support sessions. Monthly group supervision with the whole team. Ongoing professional development opportunities. About You We’re seeking a qualified therapist (psychology, social work, counselling or similar) with: Experience in individual and couples counselling. Confidence in working with complex issues and high-conflict situations. Understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence, and trauma. Strong organisational, communication, and report-writing skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Even Better Postgraduate training in individual, couple and/or family therapy. Experience in the Family Law context. Eligibility for membership to professional bodies (AASW, APS, PACFA).
