Chief Risk Officer / Head of Enterprise Risk Specific accountabilities are the outcomes that you are required to produce. They describe why your job exists. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies, policies, and frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and business risks. Lead risk assessment activities to evaluate risks across various functions and departments. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans and ensure timely implementation. Monitor key risk indicators and provide regular reports to senior management and the board of directors. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to risk management. Conduct risk awareness training for employees to promote a risk-aware culture. Coordinate risk-related audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance risk management practices and processes. Contribute to an understanding and respectful work environment and work practices, by valuing all people and giving rightful consideration of people's cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Australia's first people. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in senior risk management roles, with a track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
