This role offers the chance to assist with food preparation for patients, staff, the cafeteria, and special events. You will ensure a high standard of quality hospital food production and cleanliness is maintained to be in line with the Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policy. Duties and Responsibilities Cold Larder Preparation and handling of food Preparation & Cooking of meals Understanding of patient dietary requirements Ensuring a clean environment is maintained Wash & clean downs of equipment Daily completion of food and safety log sheets Compliance with food safety & HACCP Ordering of food & supplies Stock rotation Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will have: Certificate in Commercial Cooking Minimum 12 months experience as a Chef Ability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements Must have a thorough understanding of allergy management practices Excellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environment Good communication skills Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse workplace Previous healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded.
