Position Objective: The Regional Landcare Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Local Landcare Coordinators and creating partnerships with local organisations to increase awareness of Landcare in the Central West Region and Landcare NSW to increase funding to facilitate projects both current and future. The Regional Landcare Coordinator will work with Central West Local Landcare Coordinators, Project Managers, Landcare Groups and organisations of their area to support and empower them to achieve their own goals, to participate in Landcare, to partner with Local Land Services and to deliver on the target outcomes of the LP3 - NSW Landcare Program. Supported by, and working directly with the regional body's Chair, the Regional Landcare Coordinator will directly interact with Landcare and agencies at the local district and network scale, in addition to local partners and Government bodies. They will focus on empowering participation in Landcare by individuals and groups, to increase the capacity of these groups, to deliver against the target outcomes of the LP3 - NSW Landcare Program. Regional Landcare Coordinators will be expected to collaborate with a range of Landcare support mechanisms including other Local Coordinators, Regional Admin Support Officers, Landcare Committees, Local Government and Local Land Services. Where the Coordinator is part time, additional hours for project management may be undertaken by the same person where these hours are funded by the project/s or other partners. Key Deliverables: Support Local Landcare Coordinators with planning for groups and projects. Collate information relating to Landcare activities and experiences and disperse across the region. Be a conduit between groups and volunteers throughout the region. Initiate capacity building initiatives that benefit networks and groups. Work with Local Landcare Coordinators, committees and local groups to develop and implement a Local Priority Action Plan. Ensure an effective line of communication is maintained with the Regional Administration Officer (RASO). Participation in Regional and State Community of Practice. Monitor, evaluate and report on activities and outcomes and provide regional data and information to inform statewide Landcare Enabling Program. Stimulate community engagement and participation in Landcare throughout the region. Undertake and support planning for groups and projects. Administration relating to the day to day running of the Landcare group. Coordination of Volunteers and Members Groups. Regular Communication including creation of Newsletters and Social Media with Members and Volunteers. Managing Volunteer groups with information or assistance with specific information relating to groups. Managing database of information from Landcare to utilise in projects. Communicating information on projects and group work to other members of the team/group. Monitor, evaluate and report on activities and outcomes. Facilitate linkages between Landcare activities/projects, Local Land Services and Landcare NSW. Participation in Regional and State Community of Practice. Work with Host and local groups to develop and implement a Local Priority Action Plan or similar. Work with the Regional Coordinator to develop and support the implementation of Regional Priority Plan. Assisting in Grant Submissions - Grant Fundraising. Membership - help to onboard new members and create on-going communication. Fundraising for various projects. Social Media Skills - ability to create and implement communication across social media on various platforms. Interpersonal skills - ability to liaise and engage with a broad range of people effectively and maintain relationships.
