Your New Role Reporting to the Chief Member Officer, the Head of Governance and Accountability is the senior leader responsible for ensuring all activity within the Member Domain meets compliance and regulatory requirements. This role also ensures all Member activity aligns with the Fund’s risk management framework. The Head of Governance and Accountability collaborates across the Member Domain and into the Fund to educate, inform, and ensure adherence to external regulation. This includes staying updated on changes in the regulatory landscape and promoting a compliance mindset throughout the Domain. The successful candidate will have extensive industry leadership, knowledge, and experience in governance and regulatory frameworks, and be able to translate these requirements to foster a culture of compliance. Key duties include but are not limited to: Risk Leading all first-line risk activities for member-facing functions in line with the Fund’s risk management framework, including risk identification, profiling, and incident resolution. Providing subject matter expertise to ensure activities are conducted with appropriate risk considerations and in compliance with regulatory and Fund requirements. Compliance Delivering a business-centric compliance review service to Member domain colleagues, including reviewing new initiatives and external marketing and communications. Supporting obligation owners in managing their obligations. Assisting with understanding and integrating regulatory and legislative changes into member-related activities. Governance & Reporting Leading all reporting required to demonstrate the Member Domain’s alignment with the Fund’s risk and governance frameworks. Providing insightful, data-driven reports to monitor risks, controls, and enable informed decision-making. Policy Ecosystem Management Ensuring the domain’s policy ecosystem is well managed and documented. Leading the operation of key decision-making forums, including the Member Proposition Committee. What You’ll Need Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, business, or risk governance. Accreditation in Risk Management from a recognized body like RMIA or GIA, or willingness to obtain one after joining. Ability to interpret and translate external regulatory requirements into business outcomes. Strong influencing skills to ensure compliance while delivering on commercial goals. Experience leading diverse teams to execute strategy. Negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement and outcome finalization.
