Business Development Manager – Australia Location: Melbourne, VIC About the Company Established in Singapore, our client has grown to become a trusted provider of EPCM services (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management), with an outstanding track record across industries such as: Petrochemical and Power Plants Pharmaceutical and Nutrition Facilities Manufacturing and Fermentation Plants Food & Beverage and Dairy Processing Plants Role Overview As the first hire in Australia, you will play a critical role in launching and growing the business locally. This is a strategic role requiring both business development skills and industry knowledge. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key clients, and helping to set up local operations in collaboration with our Singaporean team. Key Responsibilities Drive business growth by identifying and securing EPCM project opportunities across target sectors (pharma, food & beverage, manufacturing, energy, etc.) Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, consultants, contractors, and engineering firms. Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and tenders in the Australian market. Work with internal teams to ensure accurate technical proposals, quotations, and timely delivery of projects. Provide local market insight, competitor analysis, and regulatory guidance to help shape strategy and future operations. Establish and lead a pipeline of opportunities and develop long-term business plans for the region. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality execution. Requirements 5 years of business development or technical sales experience within mechanical, industrial, or EPCM-related industries. Experience or network within sectors such as pharmaceutical, F&B, utilities, or energy infrastructure is highly preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, installation processes, or engineering services. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to work autonomously and build a business in a new market. Engineering or technical background preferred. Must be based in Melbourne. Why Join?
