• Full Time - Permanent Role • Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work • Based at our Edinburgh North Depot Torrens Transit, a subsidiary of Kelsian Group (Australia's largest integrated multi-modal transport provider and tourism operator), is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Auto Electrician to play a key role in keeping our bus fleet running smoothly, Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of our buses, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. Key responsibilities of the role include: Troubleshooting and resolving electrical challenges on our bus fleet. You'll diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, from intricate wiring to advanced GPS trackers and audio systems. Collaborate with fellow technicians to tackle tough problems, ensuring our buses are always road-ready. Conducting routine servicing, handling unscheduled repairs, and swiftly addressing breakdowns to minimise downtime. Perform TSA pre-inspections, maintain workshop equipment, and ensure compliance with all company safety and operational procedures. Bus driving duties will also be part of the role (for testing purposes) Essential Skills and Experience Qualifications and Experience: A relevant trade certificate and at least 5 years of experience in the passenger transport industry or a similar field. Self-Starter: A highly self-motivated individual capable of independent work. Flexible Schedule: Comfortable working shifts, including weekends, to meet operational demands. Heavy Vehicle License and PTD Accreditation: Possess a current Heavy Rigid (HR) class driver's license an a valid Public Transport Driver Accreditation (PTD) (or willingness to obtain).
