About the role Take charge of custom trailer builds and cutting-edge wiring systems as a hands-on Auto Electrician in a fast-paced, high-performance workshop. Duties Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical systems, including CAN bus and other high speed networks Design and install custom wiring for trailers, including lighting, load control, and looms Draft and interpret wiring diagrams for one-off trailer builds Use diagnostic tools to quickly find faults in complex wiring systems Ensure every installation meets ADR and OH&S standards Work closely with fabrication and mechanical teams for fully integrated solutions Maintain clear records, wiring diagrams, and service documentation Stay updated on the latest in CAN, LIN, and multiplex technologies Skills and experience Trade-qualified Auto Electrician with Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent) Hands-on experience with CANbus, LIN, and multiplex wiring systems Confident in reading, designing, and drafting wiring diagrams and schematics from scratch Skilled in using diagnostic tools like scan tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes for precise fault-finding Solid knowledge of ADR compliance, load calculations, and safe electrical installation practices Capable of working independently on complex builds with minimal supervision High attention to detail with strong documentation skills, especially for fleet or client-specific work Excellent communicator and team player, able to collaborate effectively with mechanical and fabrication teams Benefits Earn $50–$60 per hour depending on experience Saturdays optional if you’re chasing even more hours Work smart with steady 7:00 to 3:30 weekday shifts Get the flexibility you need — we make room for the right person Take a breather with one RDO a month already included How to Apply If you are interested in joining a successful business for this fantastic full-time position, please send us your resume today.
