About the role We’re on the lookout for a self-motivated, people-first Assistant Memberships Manager to help drive new member growth and create meaningful experiences for our existing community. You’ll play a key role in increasing occupancy across our spaces by partnering with internal stakeholders, conducting sales tours, and helping prospective members find the right solution for their needs. This is a high-impact role where autonomy, initiative, and confidence are key. You'll work closely with the Memberships Manager, Community Teams, and Enquiries to hit sales targets and support the full member journey - from first contact to thriving in our spaces. You'll also travel across our Sydney locations to support tours and events where needed. What you’ll be doing: Drive new membership sales and support member retention across our Sydney locations Own the full sales cycle - from enquiry and tours through to proposals and successful onboarding Respond to new leads with warmth, professionalism, and a deep understanding of our value Collaborate with the Memberships Manager and Enquiries Team to build and manage a robust sales pipeline Conduct engaging, insightful tours that match prospective members with the right spaces Work with Community Teams to support member growth, needs changes, and internal referrals Build trusted relationships with members, brokers, and internal stakeholders Travel across our locations to support occupancy, tours, and events Maintain clear, accurate records of leads and conversions in Salesforce Identify opportunities to improve the sales process and contribute to team-wide projects Prepare and manage proposals, agreements, and handovers to ensure a seamless experience Support members in connecting socially and professionally within our community About you: 2 years’ experience in a sales, real estate, hospitality, or membership-based environment (commercial real estate or sales experience beneficial, not required) Self-driven with the ability to operate independently and make high-level decisions A strong relationship builder who communicates with warmth and clarity Naturally solutions-focused and curious about people’s needs Comfortable working toward targets and managing a sales pipeline Highly organised, with great attention to detail and follow-through Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus Passionate about community, connection, and helping others succeed Enjoys working across locations and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced role Why you’ll love working at The Commons: Central HQ location with access to all our beautiful spaces across Melbourne & Sydney Birthday leave, anniversary gifts & additional paid parental leave Weekly wellness programming - yoga, breakfast club, Friday drinks Quarterly team dinners and generous team member awards State-based social committees running monthly events - from bowling to picnics Free counselling sessions & mental health support Further education program to support your development Exclusive access to our annual Halloween party A strong, supportive team culture that values creativity, community, and initiative Our values: At The Commons, everything we do is grounded in our core values: Putting our members first Fostering community Working together as a team Constantly learning and growing Sound like you?
