Who we are The Crisis and Emergency Management Branch (CEMB) delivers crisis, emergency management and business continuity services that support the department's strategic objectives and optimises resilience outcomes for the agricultural sector and the wider community. The Crisis Capability section develops and maintains a whole-of-enterprise, all-hazards crisis and emergency management framework, and delivers a program of activities to continually improve the department's crisis and emergency management capabilities. The key duties of the position include The Job The key duties of the Assistant Director will include: lead a program of work to drive crisis and emergency management capability improvements in the department to better anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from incidents develop and maintain departmental crisis and emergency management policies, plans and arrangements lead crisis and emergency management continuous improvement through coordinating the delivery of training, exercising and lessons management programs support business areas fulfil their crisis and incident management responsibilities engage with stakeholders in matters relevant to the department's crisis and emergency management framework in support of all-hazards preparedness, response and recovery manage a small team of staff to deliver desired outcomes other duties relevant to the position, including being involved in crisis or incident responses.
