The key duties of the position include Provide strong leadership and organisation skills by leading a small team. Identifying and coordinating career development opportunities including their training and ongoing skill and competency development for team members; Providing ongoing coaching and mentoring for team members; Experience leading a team, guiding team members and fostering an environment of innovation, efficiency and strategic alignment. Lead and manage our Business Partner team to provide high levels of support and assistance in all areas of procurement and contract management domestically and globally. Influence procurement strategy and strategic alignment and prioritisation initiatives relating to procurement and contract management within Austrade to ensure they meet Government and Austrade objectives; engaging with a wide range of government and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive planning and prioritisation. Providing contract management governance and compliance support through provision of contract management planning advice; reviewing of procurement and contract management documents to inform continuous improvement activities; Leading stakeholder engagement for Austrade procurement and contract management and development of consistent and engaging key messages for business. Collaborate with wider government departments, to streamline governance processes and enhance the coordination of Whole of Government advice and communication strategies. Facilitate knowledge transfer and continual development for Austrade by developing and delivering internal training sessions and developing and sourcing external training solutions for the compliance framework Manage documentation and information management, by preparing and maintaining compliance documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Ensuring the accessibility of quality information and using it to contribute to the achievement of business outcomes; Applying critical analysis and strategic insight to advise Senior Executive aimed at driving procurement initiatives and WoG reform. Contributing to the development and implementation of Austrade initiatives by scanning Government and Industry standards ensuring that Austrade is up to date with best practice; Providing recommendations for change and leading the implementation of internal business improvement projects that drive innovation, improve compliance and enable effective and efficient business practises.
