The key duties of the position include Support the transition to a more wholistic oversight framework for the ACIC. Manage the development and implementation the ACIC roadmap to improved oversight. Work with a team to coordinate agency-wide readiness activities, ensure compliance with new legislative and regulatory requirements, and embed the processes, controls and reporting mechanisms required to meet oversight obligations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external oversight bodies. Desirable skills and experience Proven track record leading organisational readiness or reform initiatives involving external oversight or compliance requirements. Background in compliance, governance, audit and/or assurance functions. Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, public policy, governance, risk management, or related discipline. Your skills and capabilities We invite applications from people with the following experience, skills and attributes: Experience in governance, compliance, regulatory reform or organisational change management in a complex environment. Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, regulatory compliance, and oversight arrangements. Ability to interpret and operationalise legislative and regulatory requirements. A proven ability to manage cross-agency initiatives. Ability to think strategically and inform decision-making at senior levels, to improve business operations in alignment with agency goals. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to make sound judgements to deliver operational and strategic outcomes, under time pressure and with competing priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to lead, develop, and maintain productive internal and external working relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations. An ability to effectively lead and manage staff to meet strategic goals.
