Job Description Your New Role A key position in the dynamic Arden team leading the major procurement of a developer for the 12 hectares of State landholdings in Arden Central, part of the 46 hectare Arden Precinct. Supported by a new metro train station, Arden Precinct will become home for 20,000 people 2 kilometers from the CBD. Arden is a once in a lifetime urban renewal project that will play a key role in delivering much needed housing through a new suburb of Melbourne. The successful candidate will work across a wide range of workstreams, including: • The market process and associated interactive tender workshops with bidders, RFP evaluation phase and project development agreement negotiation and administration. • The infrastructure due diligence team tasked with the planning, procurement and delivery of key precinct infrastructure required to support the developer. Core Accountabilities: As a member of the Precincts team, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a complex stakeholder environment with exposure to high-profile projects in one of Australian’s largest urban renewal projects. We are looking for a self-driven professional who is ready to take on a challenging role where there is opportunity to grow your skillset and career. Reporting to the Development Manager, your responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to: Managing the teams project costing, cash-flows and delivery against budgets. Assist in the preparation and review of detailed feasibility studies. Assist with administering development agreements. Internal reporting including minute-taking and preparation of presentations. Coordination of internal and external stakeholders. Work with the broader team to identify, monitor and mitigate and report on project risks. Support the team in the delivery of corporate goals and objectives. Deliver procurement and appointment of consultants and contractors to successfully deliver project outputs. Support accurate record keeping and management Desired Skills and Experience About You We are seeking a confident, big-picture thinker who is commercially savvy and possesses strong stakeholder management skills who will thrive in a complex, fast-paced and dynamic working environment. The ideal candidate will be: Flexible, adaptable, and self-driven Proactive and solutions focused Resilient and able to perform in high-pressure situations Positive with a can-do attitude Able to build meaningful relationships Passionate about urban regeneration Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree or other tertiary qualification in planning, engineering, property, construction, project management, law or finance or other related discipline. Previous experience working in a property related corporate organisation. Prior experience to project work and exposure to land development. Prior experience in the delivery of high-quality customer experience. Intermediate use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Some exposure to the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility studies, budgeting and cost monitoring using Estate Master software or similar.
