Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in the National Disability Insurance Agency? The NDIA is seeking to fill APS4 Payments Officer positions within our Scheme Claims and Payments Branch. The role will be required to provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge and may undertake some research and analysis activities. The APS4 Payments Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries. Please Note : Successful candidates will receive comprehensive induction training, delivered face to face in the office 9am to 5pm daily during the first four weeks. This is followed by a highly supported consolidation period of a further 8 weeks working primarily in the office, noting adjustments to this can be discussed on an individual basis if required. After this initial period, flexible hybrid work from home arrangements and reduced hours can be considered upon request and in line with NDIA's endeavour to support flexible working arrangements. The key duties of the position include The APS4 Payments Officer is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. The role will be required to apply well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that supports and contributes to NDIA's objectives to "build a world leading National Disability Insurance Scheme" The duties of the role include but are not limited to: Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests that have been rejected through the myplace provider and participant portals. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries. Processing manual payments to providers and self-managed participants. Working to resolve payment issues, guided by legislation, NDIA policies and standards, and Payments Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Contributing to decision-making within the team and work area. Meeting team and individual work resolution targets consistently. Resolving moderately complex payment issues, guided by legislation, policies and standards, and Claims and Payments Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensuring knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks. Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making processes, Agency guidelines and regulations.
