Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead the delivery of complex, high-value projects. This role carries full-chain responsibility for project execution, including leadership of cross-functional teams, stakeholder engagement, and commercial performance. The successful candidate will ensure that all project objectives are achieved within the defined scope, schedule, and budget, in alignment with KONE’s methodologies and standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in accordance with contractual, financial, and quality requirements. Oversee risk management, compliance, and safety protocols. Conduct regular project reviews, audits, and steering committee meetings. Ensure timely acquisition of permits and legal documentation. Drive continuous improvement and team capability development. Commercial Management Lead commercial negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Manage claims, variations, and settlement processes. Implement robust cost control and budget monitoring mechanisms. Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Stakeholder Engagement Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across engineering, procurement, finance, and legal functions. Engage proactively with external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Ensure transparent communication and alignment of project objectives. Leadership & People Management Provide strategic direction and leadership to project managers and delivery teams. Promote a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and development. Lead change management initiatives and drive team engagement. Champion safety, quality, and compliance across all project activities. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. Proven experience in unionized environments and effective union engagement. Key Competencies Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Commercial acumen and financial oversight in complex project environments. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP). Strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
