AI Technical Lead - CRM & Web Start Date : ASAP Location : Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD Contract : 12 Months | 38 hours per week Rate: $719pd super Paid leave entitlements: 4 weeks annual leave, 10 days sick leave and paid public holidays Hybrid: 1 or 2 days a week onsite in either the Sydney or Melbourne office We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join a high-profile marketing operations team within a fast-paced, forward-thinking business. This hands-on, strategic role will drive the technical execution of email marketing, front-end web development, and cutting-edge AI integration across digital marketing functions. This is a unique opportunity for a candidate with strong CRM and web development experience who thrives on innovation and is passionate about redefining how modern marketing is delivered through automation, AI, and scalable technology. What You'll Be Doing AI & Martech Innovation Spearhead the integration of AI tools to automate workflows, accelerate content creation, and enhance campaign personalisation. Evaluate and implement tools such as OpenAI (GPT), n8n, Jasper, and other emerging AI/ML platforms to replace manual processes with scalable automation. Lead the strategy for integrating AI-powered journey building, real-time segmentation, predictive analytics, and performance optimisation across CRM and web touchpoints. Drive innovation by piloting and deploying internal and third-party AI tools that support faster experimentation, improved creative output, and smarter marketing operations. Foster a team culture focused on innovation, testing, and continuous learning. CRM & Email Development Leadership Lead the execution of technically complex email campaigns by converting Figma designs into responsive, accessible HTML emails using an enterprise CRM platform. Act as the senior technical contact for advanced CRM logic, personalisation, segmentation, and dynamic content. Ensure email deliverability, accessibility, and cross-platform rendering are always optimised to best-practice standards. Web Development Strategy Lead front-end development strategy across multiple branded web properties. Translate Figma designs into responsive, high-performing web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Guide the use and optimisation of CMS platforms, particularly Builder and Contentful, including the development of custom components. Manage the web build intake process and delivery across cross-functional stakeholders. What You'll Bring 7 years' experience across CRM, email development, and front-end web development. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with proven experience leading complex technical projects end to end. Expert-level HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills, particularly for email and responsive web builds. Proficiency with enterprise CRM platforms (e.g. Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign). Experience with CMS platforms such as Builder and Contentful, with the ability to architect and develop custom modules. Deep understanding of email marketing compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), deliverability best practices, and performance analytics. Demonstrated experience applying AI and workflow automation tools (e.g. n8n, Make, Zapier, GPT-based tools) in a marketing technology environment. Why Apply?
