The key duties of the position include Providing proactive procurement and contract management advice and support to Austrade stakeholders; contribute to the management and/or facilitation of the business areas procurement activities; resolving service delivery bottlenecks effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers and stakeholders in relation to Austrade's procurement practices; and in identifying and developing strategic supplier relationships to support the business direction. Develop and oversee tendering and contract management processes. You will be leading in the development and coordination of RFQ's, assisting with the development of draft contracts, supporting reviews of supporting documentation, uploading and managing the tender processes by responding to questions and maintaining probity measures. Provide sound expert advice on tender evaluation plans, contracts and procurement strategy to ensure quality and compliance with associated legislation, regulations, policies and procedures ensuring a commitment to value for money and timely delivery. Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives and its implementation within Austrade, enabling improvements to systems and processes, ensuring best practice and industry benchmarks are realised. Actively contribute to continuous improvement by contributing ideas and opinions for improvement; delivering against Divisional and Branch objectives and management expectations; maintaining and developing competence and supporting the development of others. Assist in facilitating the procurement strategies, development and maintenance of databases, run reports and interpret data to provide a sound information base for decision making to business areas or to inform management reporting activities. Support the development of procurement options analysis to identify suitable procurement methods and support the development of procurement plans. Foster a business partnering approach with key internal stakeholders and provide advice on the initiation, execution, reporting and performance of procurement and tendering activities enabling the development of innovative procurement strategies and achievement of value for money and best practice principles. Provides support and contributes to project delivery, such as risk management, performance reporting and continuous improvements to ensure the branch delivers in accordance to the clients requirements. Participates in and advises on the assessment and processing of contract variations in accordance with the contract; supports tender documentation for high risk and/or complex work contracts; participates in the dispute resolution process as defined in the contract. Develops and maintains the contract management systems to ensure a full and complete record of all contracts, including contract claims, contract variations and extensions of time; maintains comprehensive and accurate records.
