Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. Administrator – Sport Development We have an exciting opportunity to join our sports participation team and be an active contributor to our sport development programs. Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting into the Lead Coordinator of Development, this full-time position is responsible for providing administrative support for Life Saving Victoria’s sport development programs, including managing qualifications, coordinating events and creating and maintaining resources and social media content. The role has a number of internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent client management and proactive engagement with others. Tasks include: Supporting the Lead Coordinator Development in enhancing the skills and capabilities of volunteers in sport. Providing support, identification, development, and delivery of developmental opportunities through accredited training programs and professional development initiatives. Supporting the promotion of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) to lifesaving volunteer members and assist with their pathway through these programs. Supporting the delivery of development programs, carnivals and events across summer beach, pool and IRB seasons (including attendance at event as required). Working cooperatively with Club Committee representatives and all stakeholders to deliver the best possible support and customer service for our volunteers’ members and to build and foster relationships. Supporting the planning, creating, and scheduling of engaging social media content to promote carnivals, state teams, national results, volunteer training, and other key initiatives as directed. Who are you? You have experience in administration and have a strong focus to attention to detail. You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels. You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise. Your enthusiastic, approachable, and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role. Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft suite, cloud-based software) and demonstrated ability in the use of multiple software applications. Previous experience in event, training and/or development programs delivery. Experience working with limited supervision in a multi-tasking environment requiring effective time management, teamwork, attention to detail, problem solving, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Hands-on experience creating, and/or curating social media content across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Current Australian Drivers’ License and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours. Must have or be able to obtain an employee Working with Children Check.
