Excellent salary and team environment Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm Strong communication and computer skills Great Plains experience or similar Ability to multitask and prioritise Port Melbourne location - Parking available The Company: Focusing on HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical services, fire protection and multi-services installations. The Role: Reporting to the General Manager & Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the accounts receivable (including billings) function, ensuring debtors are collected within the agreed terms whilst also assisting with the day-to-day administration function of the Finance Department. Responsibilities include, and not limited to: Performing collection calls whilst also maintaining a debtor follow-up system, ensuring a predictable cash flow and reduction in the number of past due accounts Data entry of accounts receivable cash receipts into the management information system Daily bank deposits and monthly reconciliation Liaising with relevant personnel regarding customer queries, overdue accounts, etc Maintaining 'Bad debt' ledger and keeping customer history files up to date Accurate and timely billings of maintenance contracts, casuals, quotes, field quotes, comprehensive and warranty works Weekly financial reporting Assisting the Accounts Administration Officer when required and adhoc duties as requested by management The Candidate: You have a ‘can-do’ attitude, high attention to detail, are self-motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills. A minimum of 5 years transactional Accounts Receivable/Collections experience is essential, and previous experience in the Building Services Industry an advantage. An Intermediate to advanced level of MS Office i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access and knowledge of Great Plains will be highly regarded.
