The Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Ltd (ACCCN) is a not for profit membership-based organisation representing thousands of nurses both members and non-members nationally. The College’s members work across the critical care clinical spectrum, principally in the area of intensive care, in clinical, educational, management, and research roles. ACCCN has branches in each state with two members of each State Committee forming the Board of ACCCN Ltd. The ACCCN WA ALS & Education Coordinator is responsible for managing and evaluating the ACCCN Adult and Paediatric ALS training programs across WA, ensuring alignment with the nationally recognised curriculum. This leadership role supports training delivery across public and private facilities, with opportunities to lead the delivery of courses with potential intrastate and interstate travel and work outside standard hours. The Coordinator provides expert support to stakeholders, manages a cohort of contracted instructors, maintains ALS training equipment, and promotes ALS licence agreements statewide. The role also supports educational events, curriculum development, budgeting, and reporting. This flexible, work-from-home position reports to the ACCCN WA Branch (via the State President) and is ultimately accountable to the ACCCN CEO. Essential: Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Critical Care Nurse and a financial member of ACCCN, or willing to become one Demonstrated current proficiency in the provision of Advanced Life Support within the current ANZCOR guidelines Demonstrated experience in the delivery of ALS Training, including simulation and debriefing Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with health care professionals across a broad range of specialties and health care environments. Ability to work autonomously to meet timelines. Demonstrated understanding of adult learning educational theory and its application to facilitation and clinical teaching Proficiency in the use of digital technology and such programs as; MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Desirable: Postgraduate critical care nursing qualification (or working towards) Tertiary qualification in clinical education and training (or working towards)
