About the Role As a Visualisation Specialist, you will thrive within a dynamic global environment, responsible for creating world-class visualization materials. This includes producing photorealistic digital renderings and compelling animations for both internal and external presentations, as well as other critical studio deliverables, all in support of the design development process. This position reports directly to the Visualisation Manager and is based at the design studio in Broadmeadows, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office. Responsibilities End-to-End Visual Content Creation: Responsible for creative concepting, storyboarding, modelling, animation, lighting, rendering (batch and real-time), compositing, and editing of 3D rendered elements, live-action elements, VFX, and sound, from concept to project completion. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and edit diverse visual content such as images, animations, and virtual reality (XR) experiences. Creative Execution and Project Ownership: Balance work within a fluid creative design environment with tight timelines and design frameworks, demonstrating strong project ownership and a drive for high-quality deliverables with timing discipline. Primary Software Proficiency: Utilize VRED, Maya, After Effects, and Unreal as primary software tools. Visual and Technical Guidance: Provide visual and technical guidance to the design team, ensuring alignment with design objectives and project requirements. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, digital media and communication, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience within the automotive, visualization, or design industries. 3D Visualization and XR Expertise: Proven ability to model and develop materials, lighting, and textures for 3D assets and real-time visualizations. Demonstrated experience in designing and building XR/VR experiences, coupled with knowledge of associated technology and hardware. Leadership and Project Management: Strong program management skills and experience leading projects and teams. Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively to discover innovative solutions and transform vision into reality. Technical and Hardware Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Office 365 tools. Knowledge and ability to resolve issues regarding hardware management, including competency with technology related to workstations and presentation spaces. Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative team-player approach. Work Ethic and Professionalism: A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, consistently championing professional standards and behaviours. Preferred Qualifications: Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of VRED. Proficiency in Unreal Engine/Maya, or a strong interest in learning. Basic proficiency in Autodesk Alias or equivalent polygonal software. Good understanding of HDR Light Studio, Adobe After Effects (AE), Adobe Photoshop (PS), and other supporting software or plugins for producing impactful animations and compelling renderings. Core Competencies: Artistic and Design Acumen: Strong artistic sensibility and a solid design sense, including an eye for proportion, lighting, and dramatic effect. Visual Storytelling: Good understanding of photography and visual storytelling to craft compositions that support the right narrative through visual elements. Programming Knowledge: Good understanding of flowchart-based programming and basic knowledge of other programming languages such as Python. Organizational and Asset Management: Strong organizational skills to effectively manage and develop assets, ensuring efficient workflows and asset management. Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs), Extended Reality (XR) solutions, and other emerging visualization technologies.
