The Client Saddique Logistics in Townsville, QLD is an established freight and logistics company. They are now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a Truck Driver. The Role This is a full-time role with an annual salary set between $77,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Some tasks may include. Delivers freight to agencies in a timely manner as per routing schedule Operates vehicle in compliance with company rules, applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving Reports unusual traffic conditions and other hazards noted enroute Reports promptly any unusual delays or difficulties regarding delivery sites Loads product on truck for delivery when necessary Checks condition of load for safe transportation, and rearranges as necessary Checks shipping papers to determine nature of load and any special conditions Maintains records required for compliance with state and federal regulations Keeps record of time, mileage, pallets shipped and received, any mechanical problems and general remarks Inspects vehicle and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from farm Uses and cares properly for all equipment assigned to the driver for the performance of duties The Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience gained in a commercial driving capacity Minimum 5 years of experience driving local QLD and interstate (QLD to VIC/SA/NSW/WA) freight routes Minimum 5 years of clean driving experience without any demerits At least 5 years' experience operating heavy combination (HC) and multi-combination (MC) trucks for long-distance interstate freight operations. At least 5 years' experience in load restraint, dangerous goods handling, and freight documentation compliance At least 5 years' experience using GPS-based fleet management or telematics systems for route optimisation and compliance tracking Must hold MC license must be up to date and driving records clean Must consistently meet federal and state driving requirements, safety rules and regulations Ability to communicate in a clear and understandable manner The ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to pass a drug and alcohol test At least one work reference
