An exciting opportunity is available for a Technology Delivery Manager to join the Technology, Group Business Units. The Tech Delivery Manager will be responsible for driving technical delivery across complex integration projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. This position requires a blend of strong technical expertise and project management capabilities to initiate projects, oversee successful delivery, and maintain effective stakeholder engagement. It also involves people leadership responsibilities, so prior experience managing teams is essential. Please note: this role is based exclusively in Sydney. Key Responsibilities 1. Manage Instigation Lead initial project scoping, feasibility analysis, and technical assessments for new integration initiatives. Review and prioritize Workflow COE front door requests for new/uplift integration work. Provide financial estimates, resource augmentation plans, and roadmap alignment. Ensure governance approvals for Integration Detailed Design Documents and compliance with standards. 2. Manage Delivery Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle for integration components, including build, uplift, and remediation activities. Manage a team of Tech Leads, BAs, Developers, and Testers to deliver high-quality Mesh components. Perform QA on API resource definitions, Swagger design, and technical endorsements. Coordinate technical issues and roadblocks promptly using root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques. Ensure timely delivery of ISG remediation, vulnerability fixes, and tech debt resolution. Apply SDLC best practices across technical delivery, ensuring compliance with design, development, testing, and deployment standards. Drive adherence to coding standards, API governance, and quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle. 3. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular status updates, RAIDD management, and progress reports to senior leadership. Manage engagements and external dependencies across ART and partner teams. Deliver executive presentations and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Experience & Qualifications Minimum: 12 years overall experience, including: 7 years as a Technical Lead 5 years leading Agile teams Strong background in technical delivery and project management within hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments. Domain expertise in banking or financial services preferred. Managing a team of up to 10 requires previous leadership experience. Technical Skills Tech Stack: Java with Spring Boot, Splunk Tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint Strong understanding of asynchronous/messaging architectures. Ability to review and approve Swagger specifications, API endorsements, and maintain API design documentation in Westpac Mesh Register. Familiarity with governance processes and integration standards. Additional Duties Integration consultation and orchestration of design approvals. Manage ISG remediation and uplift of Mesh components (Partner, Proxy, CAP, Inf, RPC). Provide technical expertise to unblock releases when required. Why join us?
