The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join our high-performing Tax team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Head of Tax in delivering the strategic priorities of the business from a tax perspective across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond. As Tax Manager , you’ll have the opportunity to work across direct and indirect tax, international tax, and transfer pricing within a listed, multinational environment. This broad remit provides excellent visibility across the business and exposure to a range of senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Managing accurate and timely tax compliance across ANZ, including income tax, transfer pricing, FBT, GST and the R&D tax incentive. Supporting tax provisioning and reporting at month-end, half-year, and year-end. Executing the Group’s international tax strategy and transfer pricing framework. Acting as a key point of contact with external advisors, and tax authorities in New Zealand and Australia Assisting with reviews and audits and responding to queries by tax authorities. Being a trusted tax advisor to the business. Monitoring and communicating legislative developments and implementing updates. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency. About You This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global brand and grow your career as an inhouse Tax Manager. You are a qualified tax professional (CA/CPA or equivalent) with 5–6 years’ experience , ideally gained in a Big 4, or in an in-house tax role within a large multinational. You combine strong technical expertise with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset and a collaborative approach. This role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including the administration of direct and indirect tax compliance across all countries that the Group operates in with a focus on New Zealand and Australia, the delivery of the Group’s international tax strategy and the provision of tax advice to the business. More specifically you will have: A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. A CA / CPA professional qualification (Master of Tax desirable). Strong knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand tax legislation and tax effect accounting. Understanding of international tax and transfer pricing. High attention to detail with strong analytical skills and a solution focused drive Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills. Experience with ERP and tax software (Oracle, SAP, CCH Integrator, or ONESOURCE) Why Join The a2 Milk Company?
