The Role An opportunity has become available for a Sonographer - Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will * Perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations * Be responsible for the primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology in real-time and production of sonographer reports for other medical specialists * Undertake examinations using high level independent professional judgement and established clinical protocols, professional standards and ethics * Apply clinical evidence that supports continuous and contemporary improvement in the provision of the ultrasound service. About you To be successful in this position you will require: * Possession of a qualification in Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution * Status as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (General) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).Membership must be maintained for the duration of employment in this role * Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B * Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required * Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed * Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits * Flexible work options * Career Development * Salary Packaging * Modern Facilities * Diverse Work Culture * Research Opportunities * 12.75% super * 17.5% leave loading Salary * Temporary part time (56 hours per fortnight with the possibility of extension) * Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour About Us Gold Coast Health Maternal Fetal Medicine provides women and their families with comprehensive management of maternal and fetal disease before, during and after pregnancy and birth.
