We’re looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to provide high-intensity support that truly makes a difference in someone’s life. This is a unique opportunity to support a client living at home with a spinal cord injury , who values independence, dignity, and choice in their daily routine. About the role You’ll be supporting with: Transfers using a ceiling-mounted sling hoist (2:1 in the mornings, 1:1 in the evenings) Personal care: bowel care, catheter care & pressure care Medication assistance, including Schedule 8 medications (accurate counts required each shift) Meal preparation and household tasks Transport to appointments (driver license insured vehicle required) You’ll be supported with clear and detailed care plans , including pain management, catheter care and complex bowel care—so you’ll always feel confident and set up for success. Shifts & Roster Morning: 7:30am – 10:00am (2:1 support) Evening: 7:30pm – 9:30pm (1:1 support) Days: Monday to Sunday Consistent, ongoing roster Pay Rates (Casual – SCHADS Award Level 3.1) Base hourly rate: $35.15 Afternoon shift: $38.67 Active night shift: $39.37 Saturday: $49.21 Sunday: $63.27 Public holiday: $77.33 About you You’ll shine in this role if you have: Experience in spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury support (highly valued, not essential) Skills in manual handling, hoisting and transfers Confidence with personal care, pressure care, bowel & catheter support (Don’t have experience? We can provide training!) Current NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check Driver’s licence insured vehicle First Aid & CPR Why join Nextt?
