About the role Join our team and play a vital role in the success of our City! We are looking for a dedicated individual to perform repairs and maintenance on minor plant and equipment and assist in the training and development of apprentices and trainees. If you have a passion for hands-on work and mentoring the next generation, we want to hear from you! Role accountabilities include: Service and repair small engines. Conduct risk assessments for all plant and equipment. Provide support and assistance to Plant Workshop employees. Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety through active participation in discussions. Learn more about the role in the position description: Position Description About you You’re a skilled mechanic with a passion for keeping engines running smoothly. You hold a Trade Certificate in Small Engines and a current driver’s licence , and you bring hands-on experience across a variety of equipment, from light vehicles and trucks to heavy plant machinery. Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of three years of practical experience , giving you the confidence to tackle complex repairs and maintenance tasks and c lear, consistent communication is one of your strengths.
