About the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions The Office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) (CDPP) is an independent prosecution service that prosecutes alleged offences against Commonwealth law. We aim to provide an effective, ethical, high quality and independent criminal prosecution service for Australia in accordance with the Prosecution Policy of the Commonwealth. We work consistently and professionally to deliver Australia's independent federal prosecution service - a service that is responsive to the priorities of our law enforcement and regulatory partners and effectively contributes to the safety of the Australian community and the maintenance of the rule of law. About the SES Temporary Employment Register The SES Temporary Employment Register is open to candidates to submit an expression of interest for an SES role with the CDPP. The SES Temporary Employment Register enables us to access appropriately skilled and experienced individuals at short notice for non-ongoing positions. Roles are intended to be offered on a temporary basis only (non-ongoing specified term). The term limits for an SES employee engaged through a modified merit process include an initial period of 12 months or less, which may be extended up to a total period of 18 months. This register does not support ongoing engagement or promotion under the Public Service Act 1999. You will only be contacted regarding your application if an opportunity arises that matches your skills and experience. Your application is not a guarantee that an offer of employment will be made.
