Internal expression of interest Temporary, full-time position (35 hours per week) until February 2026, with the possibility of extension All NSW Locations considered upon application, hybrid working supported Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $134,421 to $148,239 super The Water for the Environment team, part of the Conservation Programs, Heritage & Regulation Group, is seeking a Senior Project Officer. In this role, you’ll support the Water for the Environment program, by contributing to the coordination of environmental monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities. You will play a key role in project management and in providing technical skills related to eco-hydrologic monitoring and assessment. You will work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure activities inform the water for the environment program and meet statutory requirements. About You The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic experienced project manager with a strong background in managing and delivering projects related to the planning and implementation of environmental monitoring and assessments. You are a competent problem solver with demonstrated experience in applying a range of tools and technologies including, but not limited to, data manipulation and analysis including spatial data and tools. You possess strong communication skills, and a confident and committed approach to co-design and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholder groups to service the needs of the program and for continuous improvement. Your commitment to delivering results, achieving quality outcomes and building strong relationships across government agencies and key stakeholders is crucial. You’re a collaborative professional with a strong focus on information sharing, proactive planning and managing competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met, key factors in your success in this role. Key knowledge and experience In planning and/or implementing environmental monitoring projects Experience in environmental data manipulation including the use of spatial data and tools.
