We have an exciting opportunity for a senior occupational therapist to join us in our private practice. We can’t wait for you to join our team! About Us Hide and Speech is a paediatric allied health practice that provides assessment and intervention for children and adolescents with developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder. We are a team of 40 speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, allied health assistants and administrative assistants. Many of our clients require multi-disciplinary intervention, which fosters a supportive and collaborative environment amongst our clinical team. We are passionate about client outcomes, and we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and light-hearted clinic; we strive to deliver a professional and holistic service to all our families. With our rapidly growing caseload, we are looking to expand our practice to include another occupational therapist. Most of our sessions are held at the clinic; however, we can provide kindergarten and school services upon request. The role: We are looking for a paediatric occupational therapist, part-time or full-time (3-5 days per week), however, this is negotiable. This will be an ongoing permanent role with the flexibility to adjust your hours so that they work for you. We are open Monday to Saturday. Your role includes conducting assessments and intervention on children who present with a developmental delay and autism spectrum disorder. This is a clinic-based position that will be based out of our Surrey Hills clinic and/or our Caulfield South clinic. Tasks: Meeting with parents or caregivers to conduct initial consultations. Liaising with parents or caregivers to establish family-centred goals. Liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team who are involved in the child’s care. Designing intervention plans to support children to achieve their goals. Providing therapy support at the clinic or in the child’s natural environment. Conducting standardised assessments. Ensuring written reports, paperwork and progress notes are completed accurately and timely. Supporting early career clinicians and students. Providing 1:1 supervision support and clinical education support.
