Develop merchandise financial plans informed by top-down and bottom-up data Develop merchandise strategy that delivers on financial metrics Develop models and forecasts to support accurate financial planning and to optimise stock, sales and profit Follow the critical path schedule for the Department Develop the option plan, setting a framework within which Designers/Buyers can select ranges. Prepare the range review for buy sign off and work with the buyer to ensure range is bought within plan parameters and OTB In season management of OTB, inventory, profit, accurate replans, markdown and promotional plans Monitor the in-season and post-season performance of the Merchandise Group and work with Senior stakeholders on strategies and tactics to quickly respond and improve performance Support Senior Category Managers with supplier management, Joint Business Plans, and the planogram process Identify emerging trends and changing customer needs and market conditions for the Merchandise Group Collaborate with Allocations and Replenishment teams, optimising stock sent to stores Manage, coach and develop Planners and Assistant Planners Develop as a Senior Merchandise Planner with clear development & succession plan to build trusted relationships within the BIG W business What you’ll bring 3 years experience as an Merchandise Planner Successfully trading a sizeable category in terms of $ and options Working towards KIPS What you’ll experience A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.
