As Senior Manager, Strategic Engagement you'll lead the delivery of the agency's strategic priorities through purposeful engagement and clear, impactful communication. You'll oversee proactive engagement and the preparation of high-quality parliamentary briefings and statements, along with the development of a strategic engagement plan and supporting narrative that connects complex policies and projects to meaningful outcomes. Location: All Australian capital cities Salary $170,621 to $202,614 plus 15.4% superannuation Permanent position Applications close at 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 26 November 2025 The team ASIC's Strategy and Corporate Affairs Group is responsible for delivering on the Commission and Agency's priorities through communications, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and coordination. The Group adopts a whole-of-ASIC approach to deliver a unified organisational strategy in line with ASIC's vision and builds and leverages strategic stakeholder relationships to drive engagement and effectively communicate ASIC's work. The Government Relations team performs a priority function that is integral to ASIC's strategic engagement with Ministerial and Parliamentary stakeholders, as well as federal departments and other regulators. Its purpose is to build trust and confidence through enhanced engagement that aligns ASIC's strategic priorities with the Statement of Expectations set by Government. The role As Senior Manager, Strategic Engagement, you will: Lead the development of ASIC's strategic engagement plan and advocacy agenda. Identify stakeholders and scan internal and external environments to inform engagement strategy. Prepare submissions, briefings and statements for government audiences. Collaborate with senior leaders to align reforms and messaging across ASIC. Develop narratives to support New Policy Proposals and key reform initiatives. Provide strategic advice to support ASIC's priorities and positioning. About you You bring a depth of experience in strategic engagement, policy, and communications-whether from government, the private sector, or a regulatory environment. You understand how to connect internal priorities with the broader policy landscape, drawing insight from across the organisation and shaping how ASIC aligns its work with government direction, reform agendas, and emerging issues. You're comfortable navigating complex systems, parliamentary processes, and stakeholder networks, and skilled at translating technical or policy detail into clear, meaningful communication. You know how to read the environment, spot emerging issues, and shape conversations that matter. A natural collaborator and trusted advisor, you lead with clarity, influence with purpose, and empower others to deliver outcomes that drive reform and support ASIC's vision. You're also experienced in leading teams - building high-performing groups, fostering alignment, and cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, and shared purpose.
