An interesting and varied role in a friendly and collaborative team, managing and providing advice on legislative development and legal policy projects and issues for senior Departmental officers and portfolio Ministers including justice, corrections and consumer affairs, including stakeholder engagement. Period of Appointment Fixed term for 12 months Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. Duties Develop and implement legislative and policy proposals including the preparation of Cabinet Minutes, Briefing Papers and instructions to Parliamentary Counsel. Manage and/or coordinate substantial legislative and policy projects. Liaise and consult within the agency and with other government departments at state, local and territory and Federal level, as well as private enterprise, the non-government sector, professional associations and other key stakeholders to ensure their input into strategic legislation and policy development. Conduct research into emerging legal and policy issues and provide strategic advice to the Director and Secretary. Prepare high level documents for the Secretary, Attorney-General and other Ministers including correspondence, Minutes, Cabinet Minutes, Parliamentary papers, Executive Council papers and project and policy documents.
