Job Description Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar & BESS Location: Queensland About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading organisation building some of Australia's largest Solar and BESS hybrid projects. This position is on-site, near Brisbane, Queensland. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and guidance to subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring electrical works meet design specifications, industry standards, and project requirements Ensure appropriate engineering resources and competencies are allocated to integrate quality and compliance into all electrical design and installation activities Oversee resolution of technical issues and ensure timely completion of outstanding engineering-related defects Implement and maintain the project’s electrical quality plan, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards Advise on electrical design feasibility, equipment selection, material suitability, and integration of solar PV and battery systems Manage technical aspects of project delivery, ensuring effective coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams Identify and manage compliance requirements with relevant authorities for electrical approvals, grid connection, and regulatory certifications Monitor engineering progress against project schedules, coordinate technical activities, and resolve design or installation challenges promptly. Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documentation, and support change management processes for electrical scope variations. Qualifications & Experience Project Management and/or Engineering Qualification (Electrical Engineering) Proven experience in renewable energy project engineering, with a strong technical understanding of solar PV, battery storage, and inverter systems Knowledge of project the renewable energy market Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment If you are interested in joining a market leading organisation progressing some of Australia's largest Solar and Battery projects, please apply ASAP!
