The Role An opportunity has become available for a Senior Director (Medical Services Clinical Governance) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will * Provide expert advice and strategic support to the Chief Medical Officer, executives, senior management and key stakeholders on clinical governance strategies and initiatives, including the management and resolution of critical and emerging issues, sensitive policy matters, operational projects, ministerial briefings and statewide submissions * Oversee the development and maintenance of robust governance structures and processes to support organisational goals, including the establishment, documentation and monitoring of clinical governance frameworks, business processes, performance feedback systems and key initiatives and programs * Lead high-level strategic planning, analysis and project management, including complex business cases, project plans and reports, the evaluation of clinical operating models and workflows, and the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks, issues, gaps and duplication of services * Build and maintain strategic, influential and consultative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising and negotiating to deliver clinical governance initiatives, resolve issues, manage competing priorities and ensure the successful implementation of service improvements and risk management strategies About you To be successful in this position you will require: * Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B * Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required * Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed * Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits * Flexible work options * Career Development * Salary Packaging * Modern Facilities * Diverse Work Culture * Research Opportunities * 12.75% super * 17.5% leave loading Salary * Permanent full time * Base salary ranging from $174 339 - $188 056 per annum About Us The Medical Services and Clinical Governance division plays a critical role in ensuring safe, high-quality and well-coordinated clinical care at Gold Coast Health. The division provides comprehensive medical administration support through specified units, while also managing fatigue risk to promote sustainable working conditions. In parallel, the Clinical Governance team drives continuous improvement in patient care by upholding the core pillars of safety, workforce quality, risk management and consumer focus, supported by strong leadership, performance monitoring, data analysis and compliance with standards and policy. Together, these teams ensure excellence in clinical care and medical workforce support across the organisation.
